Dependent Visa

Dependent Visa:-
If you are working in Thailand and you have your work permit and visa, then you are eligible to have some dependent with you. The second requirement is that you should have some documents proving that you are the sole provider to them. Example, if you want to bring your wife as dependent then you should have a marriage certificate. If you want to bring your kids then you should have birth certificate and family tree of your kid.
Regarding the marriage certificate, its always advisible to get it from your country. If you wish to produce one from Thailand then you need
1 - Affirmation of Freedom to Marry from the respective embassy or consulate in Bangkok stating that you both are single and are eligible to marry.
2 - Translate the Affirmation of Freedom to Marry to the Thai language
3 - Legalize Affirmation of Freedom to Marry at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
4 - Register the marriage at the local district office (Amphur). Submitting the documents and recording the marriage at the amphur validates the marriage and is legally binding.
5 - The marriage certificates written in Thai will be issued.
6 - Translate the marriage certificates to English.
7 - Certify the translation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
8 - Report the marriage to the foreigner's home state, or country's embassy or consulate in Thailand.

Once you have the valid documents you are good to go. Talk to your HR or visit the nearest BOI (Board Of Investment) office for more inquiry (if you want). You have the login details for BOI website in your work permit. You can apply for a letter from BOI for your dependent(online through BOI website). You will be asked to submit passport-size-photograph, merriage certificate(spouse) / birth certificate and family tree(kids). Once you have provided all the valid documents, it will take at the max 3 working days. If approved, you will be notified by your HR or whoever applied it online(you can trace the status online). Now, go and collect the letter from BOI office. Take your dependent with her documents(passport, passport-size-photographs,BOI letter, address of your resident) and your passport and work permit. Submit it and within few hours your dependent will get the visa with the same validity as yours.
